Gosh time has flown by and I have not posted in an age!

I have been very busy doing both Jewellery and non-jewellery bits.

Non jewellery first: I am loving the TA role that I have. The children are awesome and the Teacher that I assist in amazing as are the rest of the teaching staff.

Jewellery wise I have been making lots of commissions and some new bits for the site. I find making jewellery even more relaxing now that I do not have as much "bench" time as I used to have. I savour the quite creative moment with relish!

I have also been jewellery party teaching for children and adults, both of which I have really enjoyed.

I am hoping to run an auction for Japan on the Collective page of the Kookie site at the end of this month. If any of you talented Jewellery peeps or fabulous Glass Artisans would like to make a donation please let me know.

There will be mucho mucho post from me in the next few weeks and then after Ester lots of sunny holiday pics as we are off to the sun for a few week hooray!

Luck me and Lovely Jelveh

I am the very lucky and proud owner of this BEAUTIFUL vessel that I won on Jelveh's Blog (pop over and see here) Jelveh's beads are truly amazing. I have made a wire doo-dat (all technical terms here you know) to the handle and I wear it on a lovely snake chain. Thank you Jelveh I LOVE it!

I have also been beavering away with more jewellery, making the most of the child free non working time that I have left this week. These lovely beads were made by fabulous Rebecca Weddell. I love the maroon and turquoise combination, it is so vivid and summery. They remind me of summer sunsets. I shall be listing theses on my site when I have a moment this week. I am off to take an English exam now, yowzer this is the first proper school exam I have taken for 20 years.

New Jewellery for Summer

I have been quiet on the blog front for a while I know, but there have been good reasons.

Firstly I have a new Job yay me! I start work as part time Teaching Assistant in September which I am very excited about. I will be working at my Son's school so I don't have to have any additional child care and I have the holidays off with him. I am so pleased. TA roles are like hens teeth here so I fell very blessed to have this role.
Secondly I have been busy making jewellery. I have listed some new earrings, necklaces and bracelets today on the Kookie Website, please do pop over and have a squizz if you have a mo.

I am going to run a giveaway later in the week for a fab pendant and earrings, more news to follow.

Right school run time so I am off, have a fab week and enjoy the sunshine and pics of the jewellery xxxx

TA-DA! More Soup

Soup is now being served and here is my contribution. Firstly the raw ingredients supplied by fabulous Nancy Schindler of Round Rabbit

So I took this luscious mix of ceramic goodies and baked them in my noodle for a while. I decided to add some store cupboard ingredients to the mix in the shape of beads by Rob Johnson some crystals and some beautiful ceramic beads by Barbara Lewis too.

The result is a dense and full broth of ceramic, glass and bronze that will leave you feeling satisfyingly full (i hope) Thank you so much Nancy these beads are BEAUTIFUL. Please do hop around the other soups and take a peek at some really talented designers work

Sorry that I have been quiet on the blog front recently but there have been several reason. Firstly I am still in a bit of a mojo depleted zone at present which is so frustrating. I actually bought myself a huge canvas the other day in the hope that if I take a break from jewellery design to do something else creative I may feel the mojo tingle. I am putting some painting time aside next week so finger crossed. Secondly I have been making lots of my Fete range for the school fete season which starts on the 26th of this month. I have made oodles of memory wire bracelets and elasticated bracelets and pocket money friendly prices. Finally I have been making lots of commissioned jewellery for a fabulous lady from the USA. I have attached a few pictures of the commissions made with beautiful beads by Laur a Sparling, Emma Ralph , Barbara Lewis and Tillerman beads.

Summer is here, almost

I am having a bit of a mojo crisis at the moment. I have made a few bit of jewellery recently but I am finding myself gazing out of the window more than making anything. It has been very frustrating! I decided to take myself into the garden armed with my camera for some jewellery free relaxing time. The garden is in full late spring bloom at the moment and our "secret garden" is brimming with frothy forget-me-nots and the weather is so lovely today as well. I thought I would share the garden love with you, hopefully next week I may have some jewellery to show you as well

I have actually, finally updated the Kookie website. I have been playing with Silver Clay after my session with Lesley Messam and have incorporated the beads and disks that I have made with the lovely Lampwork beads that I usually work with. The results are here to see. I have listed the Necklaces, Earrings and Bracelet on my website today so they are all available to buy. I hope you like them as much as I have enjoyed making them. Flame Off

Get me 2 posts in 2 days!

Well the weather has been soo lovely today I grabbed the opportunity to take some pics. Here are the bits that I made whilst at Flame Off this weekend. It was my first time attending and we had a fabulous time. My friend and I attended the Sliver Clay workshop with Lesley Messam which was great. I made this oval pendant and the disk earrings which actually look lovely on. It was my first step into the Art Clay world and I loved it. I am now all fired up to start making bits at home with the kit my fabulous Hubby bought me for Christmas.

One a less successful note, the wobbly beads shown are the ones that I made. In my defence it was my very first time at the flame and I am not blessed with the co-ordination required to turn my hand ssslllooowwwwllllyyy and steadily away from me and not over heat the glass (shan't be doing that for a living then !) On a positive note I now have an even deeper respect for Lampwork Artists. Lovely Emma Green helped my friend and I without once yelling "are you deaf or just totally malco-ordinated?"

End of the Hols

I have been AWOL and I am sorry. We were away in Cape Town for Easter, which was sooo lovely. It has been non stop play dates and Legoland since we have been home with a stop over by my parents en route from CT back to their UK home thrown in. We are all rested and ready to get back into the swing of school/ me working on some new designs and my poor Hubby has been back at work for a week already. I did manage to go to Flame Off on Saturday with my lovely friend and we had a ball, I shall post some pics of my creations later in the week. Needless to say that I am not a natural Lampwork artist, although my friends bead were beautiful, my art clay creations were far more wearable. Happy World Book Day

Happy World Book Day everyone. It has been a really busy few weeks here and I have managed to make a few new pieces which I will photograph over the weekend and post next week, pop back in next week and I should have some pictures up.

On non jewellery related news: To celebrate WBD our son had to go into school today dressed as a character from either Wind in the Willows, Alice in Wonderland or Peter Pan. Needless to say he was Peter Pan with a Tinkerbell sewn onto his shoulder and a bag of fairy dust, getting ready for school has never been to easy! No tantrums or moving at a snails pace, he was sooo excited. It was lovely to see all of the children walking in all dressed up, and the teachers too .

Our fabulous cat has to go to the Vet tomorrow, nothing major just routine injections, however our usually placid cat (I often find him wrapped in bandages or in our son's dressing up clothes patiently being examined or being put to bed) turns into s ferocious beastie. I have had to start adding a mild sedative, milk derived so he loves it, to his food to ensure the Vet is not savaged tomorrow and that I am not attacked when I try to get him out of his carrier. The result is a very snuggely and slightly sleepy kitty who I found my son pushing around in his play pushchair this morning, poor animal, he did look slightly humiliated. Our son apologised to the cat but said that as Georgie did not run away he assumed he was happy, fair comment. So here is Georgie the worlds best cat companion and the worlds worst furry patient.

I missed blogging yesterday, so sorry. My little boy has has this horrid tummy bug since Friday and yesterday was focused on him. The auction is going amazingly well, our current total is £715! Weekend Shopping

Phew this week has been a busy one. I participated in the Bead Soup Party and completely forgot that Wednesday was the reveal day, ooooops. Thankfully we had photo taking weather so I managed to get my piece pictured and blogged on time. It has been so much fun, thank you Lori for arranging it all.

The Haiti auction is still going strong but please do drop by and bid on your favourite auction lot. We have topped £600 but if we could reach £1000 to donate to Haiti that would be completely amazing. Bead Soup

I have participated in the fab Bead Soup Party that was coordinated by the fabulous L ori Anderson . My Party Partner was Nicki's Reef who sent me these beauties. I ooood and aaaaaaaaard at them, much to my son's and husband's amusement for a few days. I love the bone beads and the pearls and I tend to make quite textured jewellery and I wanted to us as many elements as I could, so after several cups of tea I came up with this design for the necklace.

I LOVED the two black acrylic pendants so I also made earrings and a key chain to go with.

I know I don't blog for months then I am back every day. I will blog every day this week to update on the Haiti auction. We are off to a Galloping Start! I have totted up and in the first 24 hours we have a whopping £441.05 already, that is more money than we totaled from our last auction, which is fabulous news. The Haiti auction page is finally ready to open for bids tomorrow (8th Feb) at 10am. I am totally overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of donations that have poured in for this auction. I, like Jo have really had the January blues, and February is never much better for me. I feel all fuggy (it is an official work in this household) and my Mojo comes in fits and starts. So reading Jo's reasons to be thankful made stop and take stock. Thank you for your post Jo it was an inspiring read and I too have listed my reasons to be thankful

* I have a happy and very healthy 5 year old son, who 6 years ago I never thought i would have

* My Husband is my best friend, he is supportive (mostly) and appreciates my unique qualities

* Our cat is very patient with our son (he was wrapped in bandages and given a thorough examination on Sunday, and he just sat and took it)

* Both of my wonderful parents are alive and very much part of our lives

* I have fabulous friends

* Kookie Designs became self sufficient in December for the very first time- woo-hoo

* I am able to be a stay at home Mummy for my Son

* The charity auctions that I coordinate are supported by fantastically gifted lampwork and jewellery artists and raise a significant amount of money for charity

* I have a new camera coming this week -yay! My old one died over Christmas I have have really missed it

* I am going to see my parents again in Cape Town for Easter, 10 days of sunshine hooray!

My Soup Partner is Nicki Keller, who has sent me a fab selection of beads for my challenge necklace. I literally ripped the envelope open when it arrived and ooood and ahhhhd for ages, my Husband and Son watched my with a mystified expression, they are after all only beads Mummy! Honestly. New Year New Jewells

The schools are back, work is open and I have had some time to make new Jewellery, hooray! It is made but has yet to be listed, I shall beaver away on listing it tomorrow and over the weekend. Here are some pics as a preview.

I am really enjoying working with silver wire again. I had a wire beak in the middle of last year for 2 reasons, the price rocketed and I really could not justify buying it and I hit a missing mojo patch. Well at the end of last year Kookie started to self fund (hooray again) so I have been able to buy silver wire and I have found my mojo too!

I had a fab Birthday pressie from my lovely Hubby, he bought me a PMC starter pack and I have bought a small kiln so later this year my jewellery will feature sterling silver beads made by ME, I am extremely excited by the prospect. I love working with fabulous Lampwork beads but I really want to be able to make jewellery with my own beads, albeit silver ones as well as Lampworks form the fab artisans that I buy bead from now.

Enough rambling I shall blog again with links when all these lovelies are listed.

Oh and a final note, I have taken part in a bead soup challenge so I shall be posting pics on the 10th of the pieces that I have made with the fab beads that I was sent

From 33 to -3 in 24 hours!

Happy 2010 to you. I have taken a while to blog post holiday but we went from this

to this in 24 hours, which has been a tad of a shock.

We had a fab Christmas and New Year and I am definitely sold on the whole sunny Christmas thing, it was bliss.
I am hoping that the snow will bypass us this weekend so that the schools can open. Poor Leon is craving the company of little people and really wants to go back. Brian managed to get into work for this first time but the roads here in Bracknell are still a bit hairy to drive on. I cant remember having this much snow for this long before, it is so beautiful although I have to say I am ready for the thaw now. So if the schools go back on Monday then I can get back to work and get a few new designs up on the site.

I have been AWOL so much this last year, apologies. I have been really busy this Christmas with orders, sales and parties which is fab news (ooo its snowing as I type how exciting)

I have made some fab commissions over the last few weeks , which I have really enjoyed and made some lovely jewellery with crystals and semi-precious stones.

Vortex Cocktail ring

2 fab open back sterling silver ring shanks arrived on my door mat yesterday morning. I could hardly contain myself, I have not made any cocktail rings for a while. I went straight to work and made this one, Vortex. The focal bead was made by lovely Laura Sparling http://beadsbylaura.co.uk/ and I have added added fresh water pearls, Czech and Swarovski crystals, amethyst, moonstone, cherry quartz, shell chips and fluorite to compliment the swirling vortex of lilacs and pinks in the lampwork bead. I had a teaching party on Saturday night for 6 lovely and uber talented 14 year old Ladies. They made the most stunning cluster charm necklaces and a charm bracelet, which they were all delighted about. I promised that I would blog and post some pictures of their creations, so here they are. The clusters are so pretty and the colours are really well thought out. I have been beavering away getting ready for Jewellery parties and fairs. I have made some more pendants this week with lashing of sterling silver, lampwork beads by Clare Scott and Laura Sparling , KHT silver and oodles of Swarovski. I have used lots of Swarovski elements in these new pendants, they are so beautiful and very spakley, great for Christmas glam. I have also taken delivery of some yummy giant lampwork daisy beads, they are fab. I have made a bracelet, necklace and earrings with them, as well as a really bright "banish the winter blues" necklace with lampwork and polymer beads. I have been a very bad blogger of late. I don't know where these last few months have gone. Leon has started big school and loves it, and far from having more time to do things I seem busier that ever. New Line

I have had quite a quiet summer as far as making jewellery goes. I decided before Leon broken up that as this is his last summer before going to big boys school, that I wanted to spend time doing lots of fun things with him. So I have only made a hand full of commissions and pieces for the gallery in Dartmouth.

School starts very soon and I am all geared up and MOJO is definitely back!

I am launching 2 new ranges on my website. Sooth me jewellery and Men's jewellery. Both will be beaded, naturally , but I am working with "from the earth and from the sea" in my head. So I am using lots of wooden beads and corals with silver and lampworks for the Men's range, and crystals for the sooth me range.

These Sooth Me necklaces have been sold before I have had a chance to lost them, plus I have had 3 more commissions. The idea behind them is the crystals used have positive properties, soothing and calming the wearer. I have made some for children as well as for adults. Leon has one, he wears it all the time, especially in the bath. His temper tantrums have not stopped, but they are shorter lived and he is calmer about change than he was. Of course this may be coincidence, but it may not! A friend of mine is a crystal guru so I have consulted before I started making them. I think that they are really pretty too! I will make some more and list them soon, or they can be made to order.

She has been making beautiful jewellery for 3 years, and decided to train to make her own lampwork beads. She has taken courses at the International Glass Centre in the West Midlands and has now set up her own home studio allowing her lots more time at the torch! I have been really laxed about blogging lately, I do apologies but we have been so busy/poorly! I have had 3 school fairs, which went really well, to my surprise. I made a fete range, items for a few pounds aimed at kids/teens and they went down really well.

Hi Ladies

If any of you are interested in becoming involved in a collective of bead makers/ jewellery designers grouping together to raise money for charity please either mail me or comment below. We are planning our first group auction in October with pieces/ beads being sent to me for September. We will support 2 charities this year and 2 different charities in April. Everyone will nominate a charity and 2 names will be drawn from a hat. I will manage the bids as they some in so all you need to do is supply things to auction and ideas! I have listed an auction today (see my last blog) for a dear friend and to see how it goes before our multi item auction in October.

Anyhoo let me know if you are interested and or have bits to donate.

Lovely Lizzi Auction

The auction is to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher, in memory of lovely Liz Boullin who sadly passed away earlier this year after a long and dignified 5 year battle with cancer. Lizzi was a warm and loving Mummy and Grandma, and a true and loyal friend. Her courage has been an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. Her fabulous family asked that instead of sending flowers to her funeral we made donations to Princess Anne’s Hospice in Esher, a sanctuary to those who stay there. Sooo this is what I have come up with:

The ring is made with a stunning bead by Mindy Macgregor of Moogin beads
http://www.moogin.com/ with the French Country beads and lashings of semi-precious stones, pearls and Swarovski crystals on a sterling silver ring shank.

The Necklace is made with shrinkies butterflies, which i decorated with coloured pencils, chain Jenn's beads and Swarovski crystals. I love the trash chic of this necklace and may have to keep it :)

Make Jewellery

We are home after a lively week in very sunny Devon with my parents. Leo had a ball mostly on the river and digging wherever he could! I had a lovely surprise whilst I was there, 3 of the pieces that I had made of a Gallery in Dartmouth had sold. I am so pleased as they were higher end pieces and I was worried that they would hang around looking all lonely and in need of a good home.
The really exciting news for me is that Make Jewellery Magazine have featured Kookie Designs as their Folksy shop of the month. I am dead chuffed. It is the first time that Kookie Designs has been featured in any way in a magazine, I know I am gushing but YAY! It is a great publication, really slick without being too much.

Hi Ladies

Thank you all so much for pledging you beauties for charity. I am away now until next week, but I did not want to go without dropping you a HUGE thank you mail.

I have been mulling this over and have a few ideas, please let me know what your thoughts are:

- instead of auctioning on e-bay we could do it directly. Emma Ralph holds all her auctions on her site, I could set up a page for the auctions and I am happy to manage the bids and updating the page as they come in. If we send just the page link to all of our data bases we will hopefully gets lots of interest.
- -Mindy of Moogin Beads suggested tying pieces together for auction lots, which I think is a fab idea. We could create collections of beads that would normally be far too expensive to buy. We could do the same with the jewellery of sell them as separate lots
- How do you feel about calling this The Collective, I thought the name is simple and basically it is what we are
- Bead wise, if you don’t want to donate a set how about a few lonlies? I personally love lonlies as they are so versatile.

OK I have to dash, I have not finished packing yet! Mull this over and let me know what you think. I am planning to do the first auction at the end of July, is that OK for everyone.

Charity idea

Hi Ladies
I have a proposition, well actually it is an idea in very very early infancy. If any of you are interested please send me a pm or comment.
After a long, dignified and inspiring 5 year battle with cancer a very close family friend passed peacefully away this morning. I have decided that instead of flowers for the funeral that I am going to make some jewellery for Lizzi and auction it on e-bay (any other ideas welcome) giving the proceeds less the e-bay/PayPal charges to Lizzi’s family’s choice of charity.
Now this is where you all come in. I was thinking that twice maybe 3 times a year that we could, as a collective, put pieces up either for auction or on our sites for sale; stating that all proceeds will go to charity. We could all nominate a charity each time we put the pieces up for sale; and either split the money equally between all of the charities, or pick 2 or 3 from a hat and split all of the money between these.
I think as talented and people we are in a great position to raise some real money for charity and I am pretty sure (remember infancy stage I have not approached yet) that Bead/ Beads and beyond/ make jewellery etc would run at least a small piece on the sales if there are a few of us involved.
Let me know what you think, I take absolutely no offence if you feel that you do not want to do this, equally if you know of another artist/ jewellery designers/ crafty people that you feel may be interested please pass this on.
I am happy to administrate this (I may regret saying that)

Flower Give Away

Hi Folks

I have been beavering away making jewellery for a party next week in Devon, my parents live there, and for a couple of Summer fairs coming up next month. The whole fare thing is new to me, so I am making a pocket money friendly range for the little people and Mum's, which is exciting.

Right onto business : this month give away time. I am giving away these lovely Flower Earrings. The beads are really pretty, they have a indigo base with clear purple flowers are turquoise centres to the flowers. I have added some pretty purple and teal Swarovski crystals they are on a sterling silver fish hook earring.

8 things I am looking forward to...
1. Christmas, we are leaving on Christmas Eve to spend Christmas with my parents in South Africa, Leo will wake up on Christmas morning in the sunshine (I can hardly contain myself with excitement and we cant tell him for 6 months!)
2.Spending some of half term with my Parents in Devon
3. Leo going to big boys school in September
4. My 10th wedding anniversary in May, I can't believe it is really 10 years
5. Getting to know old school friend again as grown ups
6. Home grown veggies from the garden and BBQ'S with Rose
7. The summer holiday and mucho Legoland time
8. Getting my teeth into the new designs floating around in my head

8 things I did yesterday
1. Cleaned the house and did a tonne of washing
2. Made 2 pairs of earrings as a commission
3. Met a fab friend and let the kids romp at an indoor play area, we had tea and proper conversation
4. Got in touch with a friend from school that I have not seen or spoken to for 15 years
5. Had a whole evening and bath time alone with Leo as Brian was out on the razzle
6. Caught up with Hero's and Grays Anatomy (see above)
7. Fake Tanned my snowy white body, I am now far less reflective when the sun shines
8. Woke up at midnight to find the cat had fallen asleep on my back and he was purring very loudly whilst drooling, super!

8 things I wish I could do
1. Protect Leo from ever being bullied
2. Stop being such a worry wart (see above)
3. Say no to scrummy food, I am meant to be on a diet to raise money for Leon's pre-school, not going great!
4. Spend more time making Jewellery
5. Order bits I need without being frowned at by he who holds the bank statements
6.Spend our winters in South Africa and summer here, ahh that would be bliss
7. Be more organised, by work space is chaotic most of the time
8. Be a morning person, would help with very chatty and bright 4 year old and husband

Bubble Boy

I took this picture of Leo one night when Bri was working late and I bathed him, he looks so angelic (don’t be fooled) so I thought I would share!
We have had a lovely weekend, busy doing nothing and enjoying the sunshine. Actually I spent yesterday weeding and planting veggies in the garden with Leo assisting me, well actually he mostly dug holes in the soil and played in his sand. The veggies survived the night, so fingers crossed I don’t kill them before we have a chance to eat them!

Back to Basics

Lordy, it has been a while since I posted. We have been away for Easter with a HUGE group of friends (8 adults and 11 children) in Dorset which was so much fun. Leo loved being around so many of his friends and being mainly on the beach, his idea of heaven.

I have been suffering with a real lack of jewellery making MOJO for a few month now, so I decided to go back to basics and make some Lariats. These were the very first bits of jewellery that I ever sold and I've not made any for several years. Well it seems to have done the trick and I am feeling all fired up again. I am planning to list these lovelies later this week, I feel the sunshine calling me outside for the rest of this afternoon!

Fairy Door

We have told Leo that Fairy's sometimes put a door into little boys and girls houses if they are really special children, and they watch over them to make sure they have happy dreams (we have been having night terrors, poor baby) So this morning when he work up there it was, he was sooooo happy. He has just shouted to the door "Night night Fairy's, keep my dreams sweet please" sooo sweet. The door is lovely and arrived dead quickly, it is worth checking the store out. I would like to point out the bits on the hideous carpet are actually glitter not dirt! Whenever the Fairy's/Father Christmas come they always leave a glitter trail!

Urg it has been a bit of a tough week this week. I have had a bit of an ME reappearance, which was a shock to the system as I have not had one for years. Anyhoo I ploughed through it.
Leo had an Easter Spectacular at Pre-School yesterday that I been working on. It was a fundraiser and went really well. Leo and I have spent a couple of hours (quite a feat for a 4 year old) making his feathertastic top hat creation which he won a prize for. He was dead proud of himself, and told the judge when asked; that he had made it himself with a little bit of help, but the table at home is now covered in lovely feathers. It ended with 20 sugar filled children roaring around the hall thoroughly enjoying themselves.
I have managed to make a few pairs of earrings this week, but the ME seems to have drained some of my jewellery making Mojo. I have the house to myself today so I am planning to get a few bits done and then I think I will have a lie down to try to recharge my batteries and Mojo!!

Getting Organised

I have finally tidied my work space, much to Brian's delight. I have put all my beads in separate glass pots (the ones you get with GU puddings, we have a frighteningly large number of them! ) Leo came into the room last night and declared that it is now like a princess treasure room, he said "are these all for me Mummy, you are so lovely" he was most put out that they are work pretties not Leo pretties. I may have to make him a necklace to placate him, he keeps asking for a purple heart creation. I am off to try Laura's cupcake recipe, the cakes look fab

Earring Mania

I had a bit of an earring making splurge before we went on holiday and I have finally had time to take some pictures.These are the group shots. I will be posting them this week, along with a few new necklaces and bracelets. I am going to be adding a sale page on my site too.

Sorry it has been so long between blogs, I am so disorganised at the moment. I am getting back into the swing of things again post South Africa. Leo keeps commenting that the sun only seems to work in Cape Town! We missed the snow but gained the sun, so fair trade. I bought some amazing wooden beads out there which I am really excited about. They include a set of carved animal beads which are beautiful.

I have not made a great deal of jewellery recently, apart for the lovely ring that I have posted. I made it with a stunning bead by Laura Sparling and oodles of freshwater pearls, crystals and semi precious stones. It is defiantly a “wish I could keep it” ring. I have lots of earrings to list this week, hopefully we will have lots of sun this weekend and I can get snapping in the light box.
I am going to have a clear out over the next few weeks , so keep an eye out for some super sale savers, in time for Mothers Day too!
We are off to Brighton to see Elbow without Leo this Saturday, I am soo excited. I have a HUGE crush on Guy Garvey; Bri is so great to indulge me. This is the third time we have seen them in a year.

I wanted to share these gorgeous bag with you, they are simply beautiful from Durrance Bagale Nepali Arts and Crafts http://www.durrance-bagale.co.uk/index2.asp
They are so lovely and fully lined to boot. I love bright and unusual bags and am a purple lover (the purple one is mine the other 2 are pressies) They do amazing kids bag, we bought the green bag for our son and it has really lovely finger puppets in the pockets in the front of the bag. He was hard pushed to leave it at home this morning when he went to pre-school.
We had a really lovely family Christmas, Leo was so excited. We had to leave the Reindeer and FC cinnamon biscuits and sherry before he went to bed. He was beside himself on Christmas morning, kids are so great.
Back to work today, I am hoping to get a few new bits done this week, but as we are off on holiday on Feb 1st for 2 weeks I am not adding too much to my site until we come back, then full steam ahead.

Gosh I have been so disorganised recently. This whole Christmas and birthday thing has really frazzled my brain, that and the constant cold I have- the joys of having a pre-school child who generously shares everything he picks up.
I have been really busy with fare and parties. I did my first teenage making party recently which went really well. The girls were fab and made some stunning pieces.
I made a lovely ring with 2 flower beads by Laura Sparling, which is totally stunning, and sold!! In fact a necklace that I was about to recycle was sold to the same lady.
I still have not heard back about Look magazine, but they kept the ring for a few weeks so hopefully they will use it.

Cocktail Ring

I had an ace but odd day Friday. I was ill in bed with some strange lurgy when the phone rang. Bri answered and dashed up stairs. Nina from The Look Boutique had called to say the Look Magazine wanted me to send one of my Cocktail rings to them for a shoot they were having yesterday. I should find out tomorrow if they have indeed used it. HOW FAB!!! I am so shocked and blimmin delighted. Anyhoo I will let you know what happened.
Other than that I am beavering away making necklaces and bracelets, I just need some sunny days to get some decent picks. My light tent is not liking the gloom.
